Lucky you....
I went to my ortho for an emergency appointment. Had a problem with my arch wire trying to make a large hole in my cheek and teeth grinding. The arch was an easy fix.

She made up a bite plate for the grinding. Having wore top and bottom splints it seems like no big deal. I have a slight lisp with it but am only to wear it right now while I sleep. It may be more of an issue when I have it 24/7.

Tried to get my appointment moved up, no luck. Got another SIX weeks.

Enjoy and may your smile be bright!

Mike

Hope it's a great adjustment Cor1!

I really enjoy going to my adjustments and was disappointed at my last one when my ortho said I'll see you in eight weeks ... damn ... why can't he make it four weeks ... I don't care if he doesn't do anything ... I just enjoy seeing him  and knowing all is well with my mouth!

Looking forward to reading how it goes!

Well I made it!!!! I have a little bit thicker of a top wire for now, till my teeth move a little bit more and get prepared for a couple of spring wires for the top (to move a couple of teeth into place).

The bottom ones she left alone for now, still some more work for the wire that is on still to do........

They or told them to take off my colors for this time, with my Smart Clip brackets I don't actually need them, so wanted to try without..........

And NOW I HAVE TO WAIT 9 WEEKS TILL MY NEXT CHECK UP!!!!! :x :x

I WANT TO COME IN SOONER, IT IS COOL GETTING STUFF DONE, THOUGH A LITTLE BIT PAINFULL!!! :) :)

Well talk to ya all later.......

Cor1

Cor1 sounds like it all went well!

I wish my ortho appointments were closer also ... but they've varied from 12 weeks to 5 weeks ... and my next one is 8 weeks.

Hope your mouth is feeling ok and any discomfort disappears quickly! Remember the warm salt water rinses will help if increased duriing any soreness!

Take care!
