Well the bottom wire was changed from what my ortho called a "straight" wire to a thicker wire. He also put some type of "springy coil" dead center bottom row of teeth. I asked why and he said to separate teeth so a tooth in back can come forward. He said be prepared for a lot of pressure. Really! You think!?. Pressure isn't the word I would use. My teeth, gums, head hurt so bad I can't even :-+ in peace.
My bite is completely off. Can't chew anything; and yes I found out the hard way by attempting to chew. Didn't know I could hit a note so high. But swelling, tenderness, pain will be my buddies at least for a couple of days. Ortho said hopefully only 3-5 days but everybody's turnover time is different. So I'll soup it and mash potato it and whatever else I can mash against the roof of my mouth or swallow whole (soft noodles). I gotta find the humor in here somewhere.
By the way can someone tell me how to post pics?

Thanks Nikki. The most movement I've seen in bottom movement. Ortho has done no changes to top wire since 5/8/12 when the original wire was put on just lig changes and that's all. I've got to figure out how to post pictures in order for forum to see. Teeth are so much more loose its  and still have 1 molar that needs to be banded but there's still no movement lower back left in order to get the band on. Got a teeth cleaning on 8/17/12 lord only knows how that's gonna go  . I did manage to eat a little spaghetti but with thicker wire of course the food got wrapped ridiculously. I'll be waiting to see how your 2nd adjustment goes and its nice to know none of us are alone with what we're going through with these braces. :rose:

About posting pics, check out the HOW DO I section in the board index.
Basically u jus upload the pic to either photobucket por imageshack and then u copy the image code and paste it in ur mesage and that's all.....

Hope u figure it ok

Loose teeth is a positive sign. So they tell me. It shows that the teeth are gettin ready to make movement. I kno its hella annoying.......I jus get the urge to keep feelin for the teeth bcuz I keep thinkin its gonna fall out of my mouth! Lolz

Hang in there. Beauty is pain :D

Hey thanks Nikki I'll check that out. As far as the loose teeth I'm just thankful the wire and brackets are holding them in :-*
