The results seem quite drastic. But I didnt think it was possible in adults without surgery.

The question is how stable is it after the braces come off.

Keep in mind that there are some pretty serious muscular and bone forces going on in your face. Expansion of the maxilla is one of the most unstable because everything...the cheekbones, the upper maxilla, the facial muscles...will want to push it back to where it was.

SARPE remains to be the most stable way of expanding the upper jaw. It seriously is worth it if that's what you need. I've had it; it wasn't half as bad as people make it out to be, and only a quarter of how bad it sounds.
