I finally bit the bullet and got braces (6 monfth smiles) on a week ago and the pain is tolerable until i bite down. Have been having a liquid diet ever since, the bite guards do not help as my back teeth dont meet, which makes me look like i have a huge overjet. will post a few pics as soon as i have some progress.

i got braces a week ago as well! i was able to eat most things i ate before braces by day 4. sorry to hear you you still having difficulty after a week. i am sure it will get better in no time.

My Story — Braced on 2 March 2012. 4 premolar extractions. Ceramic/clear uppers, metal lowers. Duration of 2 years.
Currently: Third adjustment 19 June (all teeth bracketed!)
