Zip and Squeeze still in Business?

#1 Post by Big H »

I'm scheduled for surgery in about three weeks. BSSO and genio. I was planning on ordering some of the zip and squeeze bags as some have said they are very helpful post op for getting a fair amount of pureed food down. However, I remember reading something awhile ago on this Board about trouble with the company. So I went to their website and called the listed telephone number in California and got the disconnected phone number voice recording. Does anyone know are they still in business? Has anyone successfully ordered anything from them recently? If not, any other suggestions for getting this liquid/ pureed diet down for four weeks post op. Not looking forward to this little adventure at all.
Thanks,
Big H

I ordered some directly from their website in August, received them within a week, but then they I live in California, the same state the company is based in. My understanding was that they were having difficulty with international orders.

So out of curiosity I tried the number on the website. It only "beeped" with no outgoing message :? . I just sent them a message to the email address (zipnsqueeze@earlink.net)that was listed on my Paypal order receipt to let them know of the phone contact difficulty.

I double checked...I actually ordered online on Sept. 7 with no problems. I feel really invested in knowing what's going on with them given what a lifesaver the bags were ( especially the pureed food bags). I tried sippy cups and regular cups just to compare the volume I was able to consume with the zip-n-squeeze bags, and it wasn't even close. I had these gaps in my teeth made by my braces. I would place the end of the tube at the gap and squeeze away, though I had to learn to use the right amount of pressure or else the bag would pop open, splattering food everywhere.

Which reminds me....I'm so grateful to have learned of this product through this message board!!!
