Well, I suppose I should formally introduce myself, huh?

I'm Diana, 30, and I live just outside of Phildelphia.

A few months ago finally (finally) decided it was time do do what my dentist has been telling me for years and get braces. I've always wanted them, but because I don't have dental insurance I didn't think I would be able to afford them. But I finally put a little money away and on April 4th I got my braces.

I went with ceramic on top and metal on the bottom, and I have to tell you, I am SO happy I finally did it!

My teeth have moved so much in just a month, and I'm finally starting to see what I might look like with straight teeth! I didn't think I could ever have a nice smile, and now I'll have one in a year! Honestly, it's like a dream or something.

Congrats on getting your braces on, its so great your doing something for you. What a wonderful attitude you have, I hope things go smoothly, ill keep and eye out for your progress posts!

My uppers look almost perfect, but my lowers ... oh man, they are being stubborn. It's okay though, it'll get there sooner or later.

Wow, you've got great progress!!

Your uppers look like they don't even need braces anymore!! Keep us updated with pics.

I wish mine would look like yours. I'm going in for my first adjustment in about 2 weeks and I can't tell any difference. *sigh*

My ortho said almost the same thing when I went in for an adjustment, and he's really going to regret it

I'm thinking I will start bugging him about my taking my uppers off by July. I won't want to bug him, I just don't know if I'll be able to stop myself.[/quote]
