IT WILL GET BETTER!!! Take our words for it. Reading your post brought me back to my first post on here after I bawled my eyes out for 5 hours straight on my first day in braces. I actually started crying in the chair at the ortho's office while thinking "WHAT HAVE I DONE TO MYSELF?!" Beli...

The first set was blue, with one metal spacer in the back. The assistant couldn't get a regular one between my molars. That was awful. When those came out, I had some that were purple. I think they were a different thickness. (My ortho was using them to make space between certain teeth so he could s...

I'm glad I waited until after high school, but I wish I could have done it before I got married so our pictures would be prettier. I played the French horn all through school and was very competitive. I know that having braces would have caused a serious problem with playing at the level I was at. T...

I got the first of my brackets on 1/27/05, but they were just on the molars. I didn't get all the ones in the front until 5/13/05. My tentative debonding date is 11/30/05. So...total time in full braces will be about 6 1/2 months. Total treatment time of 10 months. Not too shabby considering the ini...

Rotators

Sorry about your brother. Maybe next time you can ask for the clear kind. They switched mine out when they changed my ligs so I always had fresh ones. They do stain a little, but they're not that noticeable.

Wedges

I had a couple of those wedges in for 6 weeks or so. They weren't bad after the first day or two. Hope they work quickly for you so you can enjoy Thanksgiving! :)
