I had BSSO 18 days ago to correct a 10mm overjet. My back teeth don't meet up at all, and it looks like I still have a slight overjet. I really hope the elastics correct this!

yeah I had BSSO 9 days ago, and I have oral thrush. I read on the internet that salt water rinses can help (1/2 a teaspoon in 1 cup of warm water), but it didn't work for me. I now have oral lozengers that I have to dissolve 4 times a day in my mouth.

Hey everyone, I had BSSO 9 days ago to move my lower jaw forward and it seems like it has moved back slightly. When I saw the surgeon I asked about the relapse, and he said that it's to be expected. That doesnt sound right to me, I thought they wired people shut or gave strong elastics to help preve...

Hey everyone, I had BSSO on the 23rd of july and I have numbness and tingling in my lower lip, chin, gums and tongue. How is everyone going with the numbness? Any feeling coming back yet?

I had my jaw moved forward on friday. My chin, lower lip and lower gums are numb, but I can feel my cheeks and the side of my jaw.

so today i went in to hospital for my operation, got dressed in my hospital gown and waited to be taken into theatre. I waited 4 hours and at the last minute my surgery was cancelled due to another patient... so now I have to wait another 3 weeks for my surgery. Grrrrrr!

It has finally come after 4 1/2 years of waiting. I am extremely nervous!
I'm having my lower jaw advanced 10mm, and my chin reduced.....
very scared but I hope it's worth it!

2 days until my surgery.... I'm getting sooooo nervous now.
I'm trying to stay as positive as possible!

I hope that doesnt mean it will be more uncomfortable??? And Audra my surgery was delayed because I had a throat infection. I wish it wasn't delayed, I'm so much more nervous this time round!

Hey, I'm having my lower jaw moved forward to correct my overjet/overbite in 3 weeks, but I am concerned my back teeth will not meet together..
when I hold my jaw forward and bite my front teeth together, the back do not meet at all. Has anyone had this problem?????
