Ok, I am finished with surgery. It went ok, but I do hate going under This time no throwing up with a closed mouth! It kinda reminds me of some of the better days after the BSSO itself, just with less swelling. My surgeon said it was my option as well, but that it was sticking out far enough to both...

HI, its been awhile. I had my BSSO on the lower jaw May 08. I have recently found a bump sticking out inside my cheek. After going to the doctor, he told me it was one of the screws protruding. I was given to options, one was to get the protruding part sheered off or, two to have it removed. I was s...

Wow, that is so true! I feel the tingling too, sometimes stronger than others. I also have become quite the napkin freak too, and yes hardly ever anything there. I was told it was a very good sign that the feeling is coming back, but that everyone is diff and each nerve acts different. They even had...

My splint came out on my first check up (5 days) due to excess swelling moving it from the proper position. I thought I was lucky but now I feel worse since they have me on a no chew diet since the surgery (21 May) until at least 2 July. I guess it's easier tho, since straining is not needed. Hope a...

Hey all! Sorry I haven't been on or checking in on folks. I think I have hit my brick wall. Got some feeling sorry for myself and wondering ( even tho results look good) why I did this. The feeling in the chin /lip is still so slow coming back and after todays appt I am still on a no chew until 2 Ju...

Hi guys, sorry it's been awhile. I went to visit some family for a few, got bored sitting at home. I have actually gone back to work as well. I am still on a leave status, I just go in when I feel like it. As for my status..I am getting more and more feeling back in the chin, but as some of you have...

Ok second week check up is good. Left side is still swollen but not too noticeable. More percocet to keep me sleeping as that's usually my issue, and now the nuisance~but good in the end~ feeling coming back in the chin/bottom lip stinging! And of course more appts, this time two dates for weeklys a...

Just checking in to see how you are doing with only a couple days left. Have you decided what your eating last? I ate so much so quickly I didn't even eat my desert! My show time was 945 and I was told not to eat after midnight. I was starving by the time they took me back. To my shock a little of t...

I am a few days less out from surgery than you but I can tell you that I still have pain. For the most part I can tolerate the pain during the day by just taking motrin but at nite I can't sleep. At my first weekly check up the doc switched me from roxicet liquid to percocet pills since my splint ca...
