What a pleasant thread. :roll:

Insulting people and scaring those who haven't been through surgery yet, by saying it is equivelent of ' a car-crash' and 'electric lightbulb shock' Well that's just great, thanks for the confidence boost...some people are already scared to death, including me.

I have very bad dark circles under my eyes also and have wondered the same thing.

It would be great if an upper advancement would help with this problem. :cry:

Hiya everyone, I just wondered if anybody knew that if you were to have teeth implants, would they need to be done before of after jaw surgery? I was prescribed them years ago but never really took them properly like i should have/be. :oops:

I took them for a few months say. What difference do these make then?

Ohh why can't i just be told that i HAVE to have it done, even though i have made my descision.

On my referral letter it says

Consultant- Mr Hodder
Speciality- oral surgery/maxillo facial

Do you think that means he also does orthognathic surgery?

Thankyou Luella. I know that you need braces prior to surgery. I wanted to make sure who it is i am supposed see at the very first consultation overall, to get the ball rolling for surgery?
