I think I have got round this problem... I munch down on them using my front teeth and then push them to the back to finish them off. Only problem is sometimes they can get caught up in the bar at the top which can be fairly difficult but I have learnt to suck a bit of air to dislodge the chewed up ...

I know it is hard to believe this right now but it does get better as each day goes by. You will get used to them.
