I had a similar problem with one of my teeth being up alot higher than the other ones and looked small, they have now pulled it down and it looks normal.

I find that if you use the irrigator first before you brush it gets out all the bits and pieces intertwined in all the braces, especially up the back with the molar bands. I had powerchains on the top and i didnt think they were that bad. The teeth are quite sore still when i eat alot of pressure still, i hope it goes down soon.

sounds odd to me, my ortho changes my wires every time I go for an appointment, so it sounds to me like your getting shafted...
