I like the before picture of the girl better. I wish they had take a before shot with her smiling to truly compare. Do you notice that in the first after shot, she's got a nasolabial line that she didn't have before. And uin the before first picture, she looks more sensual.

When you put pressure on teeth and bones, it definitely causes bone loss. The bone also reforms. You can ask an orthodontist about this. Also, when your teeth are brought back, it's obvious that the bone is in a different place. For that to happen, a certain amount of loss occurs.

I don't buy that people's faces naturally change that much after reaching maturity (ie in the mid to late teen years). In my case, I was at my adult hieght and fully developed by age 14. It seems that many of you have come down hard on both this woman and the 60 minutes report, and I don't agree with you. I think the 60 minutes doctors (both Dr. Mahoney, Dr. Mew and one other) are very credible, and it's hard to believe they would make these claims to "increase business". ...

To me, she looks considerably different now than she did in those movies. Her smile and shape of her face have changed. I suspect that braces caused this. Please let me know if anyone comes across some information.

I read that Molly Ringwald wore braces, but I wondered when she had them on. Was this after the movies Pretty in Pink, Sixteen Candles and The Breakfast Club? I wanted to see if there was a difference in her apppearance after orthodonture.
