I just went in for my three month cleaning today.
No cavities but I was told that there was some plaque build-up.
Nothing abnormal but it was good to get it cleaned out:)

I highly recommend getting at least one extra cleaning a year when you are doing Invisalign.

have you gotten more dental cleanings?

Hi,

I am on my second tray of Invisalign and I am planning on getting my teeth cleaned every three to four months.

This was recommended by my ortho because he said that bacteria like to move with the teeth.

Does anyone else get more cleanings?

Sugar is what creates an acid bath and can produce cavities. I would stay away from drinking sugared beverages with your aligners in.

The only thing that I drink with my aligners in is water.

$5500 for 30 aligners on top and bottom. It includes all office visits, impressions, refinements if needed and even braces if needed.

I am going to a Premier ortho too.

My orthodontist said that teeth have to loosen in order to move. They become loose because the pressure from Invisalign or any orthodontic treatment for that matter, push on the tooth to move and these little ligaments break allowing to the tooth to move. I asked my orthodontist and he told me that ...

I started noticing a difference as far as flossing after my tray. My teeth are moving the thickness of a piece of paper so it makes sense that I saw a difference in flossing.

I am only on my first tray but I love the experience so far:) I felt a little bit of pressure for the first three days and now I am on my 13th day and from my fourth day to today my trays have felt more like they are just sitting on my teeth without pressure. I have been brushing and flossing twice ...

I agree with everyone else on this, don't cheat. I just started four days ago on my first trays and my aligners don't feel as tight anymore. My ortho said that there are actually 2-3 days of movement with each tray then there is plenty of time left for the bone to catch up. In my case I was told to ...

This was exactly my experience too:) I have had Invisalign for four days and for the first two days it was so hard for me to take off the trays but putting them back in wasn't hard at all. Now they come off a little easier. I suspect that this is because my teeth have moved and are now stabilizing. ...

New Invisalign user:)

Hello Everyone, I started my Invisalign on Tuesday. I would say that it has been about 90 percent painless. I have 30 aligners total and have to wear each one for two weeks. I felt some pressure when the aligners first went on and some pain when I took the aligners off. However, after the aligners w...
