They better! Leaving me with an overbite that I didn't even have before would make me a rather unhappy person, lol. I get my SureSmile scan next appointment so I'm hoping they'll be able to show me what my teeth and bite will look like after they map out the last few months of my treatment. It shoul...

It took about 7-8 months for it to come into the arch properly and be bracketed with the rest of them. Mine was pretty far back and they weren't sure if it would respond at all though. They tell me age plays a part in how fast they'll move through the bone(I'm 30). Fortunately there was alot of prog...

I had mine exposed under just local anesthetic..and when they did the needle in the roof of my mouth it was worse than any of the rest of it. Oww.. I still cringe thinking about it. It was a little sore and a bit difficult to eat even soft foods the first days while as it healed. But I also had mine...

I was soo excited to finally be getting my teeth fixed. I've always dreamt of having a beautiful smile that I could show off instead of hiding. I do get a little negative and emotional at times because it just feels like it's taking so long and it took me a while to feel comfortable with the braces....

Good luck with moving that tooth, hopefully it doesn't take too long! As far as it healing over the chain, personally I didn't have that problem but I can't say if others have. My canine was impacted fairly far back in the palate though and now that it's moved out and braced with the rest there does...

I have to admit the gaps were the biggest problem for me, it made it harder to bite(as if braces don't make that hard enough sometimes!) and I even had someone ask if some of my teeth had fallen out. I guess they didn't even notice the braces just that I had missing teeth where the baby ones were pu...

Thanks for the responses. So it's more common when a tooth has been previously damaged? My concern stems from the fact that I had a canine tooth came down so it covered the roots of the tooth beside it and did some damage. I was warned by both the oral surgeon and orthodontist that it may cause prob...

Count me in too, or I was! My crazy canines both came out weird, one was fully impacted back in the palate and the other came out ontop of the tooth infront of it. My impacted one is now exposed enough that it has a normal bracket on it and had come down and out nicely. Had the exposure done on it i...

Root resorption?
I've read a couple stories on here about people having their treatment ended because of root resportion or shortening. I'm curious if anyone knows to how they can tell it's happened? Can they only tell through an xray?
