I assume it depends on the type of movements and how the teeth respond to the treatment. I was on a 14 day plan during my initial treatment but for my refinement process I actually was allowed to change every 7 days, because my teeth easily moved and heeled during the initial treatment. This is a gu...

Last aligner in place! 37/37 of 12/37 (Lower/Upper).
Blog's updated... blogg.aftonbladet.se/19563

Visíting my ortho next week to discuss whether I need refinements. If so, I think 2-3 aligners would be enough.

I've been single during the treatment, but have never stopped dating. Sometimes I removed the aligners but sometimes I didn't. I really think wearing Invisalign should stop you from dating. It's not that strange... No girl I dated noticed the aligners (as far as I know). I actually told one girl abo...

Fixed ones are more precise but of course you can still get very good results using invisalign. However, the risk of not getting the achieved result may be higher.

Hi fellow thread readers,

I had 1 lingual attachment on one of my lower canines.
I needed that in order to rotate the tooth. I have also wondered why they don't put the lingual attachments by default. Atleast it worked fine for me for that tooth.

I think some dentists plan for a refinement series as a part of the treatment, so that necessary changes can be made. That is, the "refinement" should just be seen as the last part of an ordinary treatment...

@paulinc:

That has happened to me a couple of times. My orto simply uses a pair of scissors and cuts the "tooth" out of the template. No magic at all :)

I have had one attachment coming off during my treatment. The reason is probably that the tooth surface was not dry/clean enough when the attachment was bonded to it. Good that your dentist could fix it so soon! I have cracked my aligners about five times. Most of them close to an attachment, which ...

No, I don't remove them before kissing.

None of the girls (about 5) I've kissed since January have made comments about the trays. As long as you keep them clean it shouldn't be any problem.

I usually wear them 22 hrs a day. ~1 day each week I wear them 21 hrs. About 5 times I've had them out for more than 4 hrs.

It really seems like we all have different experiences with Invisalign. I have virtaually no problem at all. No pain, no lisp and treatment progress as expected. I did have a sore tongue the first couple of trays but no more. I'm on tray 18 of 37, halfway through. In half a year I will have straigth...
