I'm almost done with my lingual treatment and have the black triangle for a couple teeth. Sorry if I missed this, but what does IPR stand for?

patience is the key although for me, that was hard at the start. I wanted results asap. I haven't asked my ortho lately when he thought I would be done although he did say that he would like to do an x-ray during my next visit on Jan 5 to see how far my roots have moved.....that's a good sign in my ...

well, that's why you got them, eh? My teeth have definitely moved for the better -- just took longer than I wanted for my top front (although I was given a timeframe of 15-18months -- I suspect it will go a little longer and I'm ok with that). However, I've read on this board how it was a shorter ti...

You can definitely notice the difference with your front teeth, XTC. For me, it was the two front lateral incisors that weren't straight. Finally, after 16 months (as of today), they are in-line, but with more room to go. Definitely some frustration along the way. However, I've learned that you've n...

Welcome to the world of Linguals! I've had mine for 15 months now and don't regret getting them at all even though I was initially nervous and did struggle with the speech (which is mostly back to normal -- I notice that I only struggle when I have a really dry mouth, mainly from drinking coffee). A...

I don't think I did or at least, i never noticed/felt it. My biggest reason for getting iBraces was to correct my two front lateral incisors, which were crooked. Come to find out that my bite was off too and hence, the wear on my two front teeth -- you think I would have realized that, but I didn't.

My bite has definitely improved with ibraces. Prior to ibraces, my top front teeth were hitting my bottom teeth, resulting in gradual wearing, especially for the upper two front teeth. Nine months in, they longer touch the bottom teeth.

I've had my iBraces for 8 months now and most of the time, I don't have any issues what-so-ever with my speech, except when a drink a lot of coffee.

Keep talking and stay hydrated as a lot of folks have said on these boards and you will master it in no time.

Hi SandraDee -- Sorry, but what are power chains? I had/have the same experience as you with my one of front teeth. Apparently, this is part of the whole process, but I do have to say that my ortho was able to make a small tweak to the wire to make it less pronounced. I have been wearing ibraces for...

The nice thing about linguals is that even if you do have food stuck in your braces, no one can see it --- although you can certainly feel it. I've had my uppers for 2 months and lowers for about 2 weeks and I guess, I could be accused of not brushing enough, but I really haven't had anything really...

no issues at all with kissing -- my tongue felt a little strange at first, but my wife never mentioned anything.

besides having a broken bracket, I also had a bracket pop off from the back. My ortho didn't charge me for putting it back on...

They didn't mention anything about charging me for replacing the broken bracket either.

Good to know - thanks. I was hoping I wouldn't have to go through the speech adjustment again. I guess I would consider myself having a small mouth, but not sure about the tongue -- maybe that is something I'll discover when I get the lowers put in? Overall, I wouldn't say it was that big, so perhap...
