Thanks for your reply alimommy. Yes, its on the bottom front four so maybe a bonded retainer would work. Although I was under the impression I wouldn't be able to wear the top one because of the protection shield thing they stick on your roof to protect the wound from the cut-out (you can see I'm ve...

gum recession

Hi all. I finished invisalign over a year ago and have been wearing my retainer at night ever since. Over the last few months I noticed my gums had receeded, but this was particularly bad for one tooth (my front lower). I went to my dentist, who literally shoved his hands in my mouth and really wobb...

sorry I'm just replying - lost my internet connection for a few days. Cue my embarrassment  all was fine the next day. I think my extra sensitive skin just reacted to the dye slightly. The brown was dye stains I think as it came out the next day, and the skin redness went down by the en...

HELP: the clay stuff they use to take moulds

Hi all, I broke my retainer so had to go and have another mould done today. The dentist got a blob of the clay on my face. I wiped it away but it still felt sticky and I presumed it would just wear off, but now I've come home its turned into a light brown patch. Ive tried scrubbing it and its not go...

I can't help with the baby teeth question, but presuming you mean Birmingham, England I can recommend Dr Kumar from New Street Dental. He's also just opened a drop-in dental surgery at House of Fraser. Very nice staff, and answer any questions you may have. They hold regular invisalign introductory ...

Before and after pics

Hi all, Just thought Id share my before and after pic (sorry - not the best pictures in the world). http://www.photobox.co.uk/album/109565123 Hope the link works. I had invisalign mainly for my "buck teeth", but had the bottom teeth straightened at the same time. After 11 months, ,my botto...

Finished! But retainer Q

Hi all, Well after 11 months Ive finished my invisalign treatment (waiting for dentist to send me before and after pics to show you). I have a question about my retainer though. I've been given the plastic one you wear at night, but they feel a little loose. I wore them for the first time last night...

Mine was 23U/17L. Im on 21U now, and only wear my 17L every night. I wore it full time until I was on 19U and then my dentist said I could cut down to night's as long as I wore them every night. They're a little bit discoloured now but you can't tell when they're on (not that anyone can see while Im...
