Hi all! I am a previous poster on the IA- finished the treatment last year and opted for the clear retainer to wear at night.....HOWEVER this morning, I dont know what happened because I am always so gentle with it but as I was taking it off, it cracked! Welcome Sazzler 61! When I first got my IA- the speech was pretty bad- but I gave it a chance and even tried to wear it at work- luckily my colleagues were very supportive and answered my phone calls! However, I have to say unfortunately for me- it only got a little bit better ( I don't know about t...

My teeth have moved to the straightest position it can be in and now the clear one will help keep it that way! I am very happy that this clear one does not ...

I think you're right on both accounts. I've also had the comment "I didn't notice anything wrong with your teeth". Yes, because I made sure no one could see them! LOL I absolutely agree with the last part! When I first got my IA everyone including my family kept saying 'there is nothing w...

I am so excited to be nearing the end of my treatment- but I should still be concentrating on wearing my IA as much as possible before i get the clear o...

Hey all! I had another review with my ortho yesterday.... he didn't comment much which means that my teeth perhaps have not moved much since the last appointment  BUT he did tighten my aligner a little to speed up the process, which I am all for! I had to have a little more teeth filed..... but...

Hello everyone :D . I had my review with my ortho on saturday.... and I told him about my concerns about the 'composites' so he reduced them and I am now much happier as they are barely there! :P The only thing I am worried about now is that the IA is not as tight as it was- I don't really feel any ...

Ursa- my composites are just tiny tooth colour fillings that is on my two main front teeth- it basically holds the IA up and tight, because when I first put the IA on it was a little loose? Now please don't tell me that it wasn't made properly?? :? I trust my ortho- but I am now having some doubt be...

oh I am sooo having a word with my dentist- I hope you guys don't mind if I mention you- why do I need to have the composites, when there are so many who don't?!! Frustrating! I really just feel that I don't even have the option of smiling when my IA is out- because I am too conscious of the stupid ...

By attachments I mean- I had to have two composite fillings at the front of my teeth? It's tooth colour so you can barely see it- but if you were looking at my teeth from the side, it is noticeable! :(. It holds my aligner up and apparently makes it work better and of course will be removed once tre...

Hi all!

I have been a silent reader on the IA post for a while now- I have been through the should/shouldn't I phase :?: , BUT I have taken that plunge and have the IA in my mouth as I type and I couldn't hold back on posting on this forum any longer! :P Its my 3rd full day wearing it, and I must say it has...
