Thank you for the responses! That makes me feel so much better.

Wow. I did not know it could take up to 13 months for the gaps to close. My gaps are not too obvious now. I am able to smile really wide without being conscious. :D

Oh wow, your teeth are looking wonderful! We have a similar case, and I'm still in the process of closing my gaps to make room for my tooth in the back, if you know what I mean. :) But yeah, that's awesome.

I rarely smile. I'm so conscious only because I have 4 huge gaps in my mouth (4 bicuspids removed), not because of the braces itself. I guess not smiling affects my social life somehow.
