Thanks for asking, Lisa...my first adjustment went well. I thought I was getting my lowers in, but ends up it won't be for another 2 months (I think). Just fine with me - that means I will be able to enjoy my Thanksgiving dinner more :)
Everything still okay with you?

Hi Lisa, Glad to hear the extractions went well. Sounds like you are a tough cookie if you gave birth sans drugs. I have 3 kids and I wanted epidurals for the last 2 (first one was scheduled c-section). But anyway. Congrats on getting started! I can't believe they put power chains on you already. Th...

Hi Lisa, I hope your extractions went well today. Hi Ken, I see that you and I have adjustments on the same day - Nov 12th. I'll be getting my lower brackets in then. Hi Candy, I grew up in Chicago - the city itself. I lived on Barry and Broadway. Oh yeah, been braced almost a month now. My treatmen...

Oh yeah Lisa, I'm Filipino, but grew up in Chicago. Also lived in Manila (where I was born), Australia, Seattle, and now I am north of San Francisco.
Sorry, I guess we should be talking about our braces journey. But I just saw a connection there :)

Welcome Lisa and Candy! I was so happy to find this site too. I wore braces when I was 16. I got re-braced almost a month ago. I obsessed over straight teeth the past 10 yrs (?). First time I had braces I wore them 16 mos and they turned out great, but things shifted I don't know when. So here I am ...

Hi all, From what I've read, you all go for the normal 6 mo check-up/cleaning. Or you go more often. That's great and I definitely want to keep my teeth and gums healthy and clean during my treatment. However... The receptionist at my dentist's office suggests I have the braces removed so I can get ...

Welcome Sue!
Don't worry, you're doing the right thing :)

Hi Katarina,
When did you notice any progress? It'll be 2 weeks for me tomorrow and I think I actually see a difference already (wishful thinking?)

Hello to everyone here! How's it going Katarina? lol, I always look at everyone's teeth - probably the first thing I ever notice. I'm glad to be doing something about mine :D One week down for me today! The braces feel like they're part of my mouth now. I've also gotten adept at flossing! Onward... ...

Hi and congrats to us all for taking this big step! Toni is right - Burt's Bees is great. I'm looking fwd to hearing how everyone's progress is going since I am in the same age/timeline as you (though I know our cases are all diff). Still, it's comforting to know others are going through the same th...

Thanks for the welcome and thanks for asking how it's going for me, Katarina! I have to say that I obsessed about getting braces again for a long time and when I finally sat there getting them on I thought, Oh my gosh, I'm actually doing it! And then when I saw my teeth I was like, What have I done?...

Hi Katarina, It's nice to see someone my age (I'm 43) and newly braced for the second time around (just like me - braces 27 yrs ago!) Mine turned out great the first time, but yeah, lots of shifting happened over the years. Now I'm 2 days into my 2 yr treatment. Thanks for sharing the pictures. It i...
