i have a 10mm overbite so will be having braces and surgery to move my bottom jaw forward, I had an op to remove my bottom wisdom teeth and 2 others on the bottom, then I went back and they said I am ready for braces, i am now on the waiting list.

Just starting my long journey. I got my first ever joint appointment tomorow to see what they will be doing. My ortho said I proably will have some teeth out then be braced for 18 months then have surgery.

I asked my nhs dentist to refer me to the ortho at the hospital, I had my appointment last week and they said I need surgery and made and appointment for me to see another ortho and a surgeon both NHS

I have my first appointment with the ortodontist next month.
I have an overbite of about 8-10mm between top and bottom teeth.
I am on job seekers allowance.
I am over 18 as well.

how do I go about seeing a nhs orthodontist as I have an overbite. my bottom teeth touch the roof of my mouth when I bite and there is a 10mm gap between top and bottom teeth when i do this. I am 24 and on job seekers alowance
