Can you believe these are the same teeth from a year ago ? :) Oh Gosh, I had it real bad. I always like this story: at my first consultation my ortho took a quick look into my mouth and said " You have really pretty teeth" and I was just about ready to leave, thinking he was making fun of ...

Is this archwire connection normal?? (pic)

Hi, I had an adjustment a few days ago and just noticed I am missing the normal connection between the archwire and the brackets--an elastic band. The tooth in question is badly rotated as you can see in the pic. Anyway, something that I can see, but you probably can't in this pic, is a weird piece ...

kiwi,

thanks for the kind words. I'm beyond happy with how everything's going.

I have clear braces--as you said they are made of some softer material (pastic)

I don't think my ortho works with ceramics at all.

nvcarissa,

I just got the same kind of bends at my last adjustment.
I have them on both side, right before the canines--we're going to try to pull them down a bit.

I hope it works, I guess I'll know for sure in about 6 weeks :)

ops ....I'm so sorry, I made a silly mistake in my previous post

I DO NOT have CERAMICS, I have clear braces top+ bottom,
so I guess my opinion doesn't really matter, even though clear braces are kind of bulky like ceramics

anyway, I'm very sorry again.

Hi there! I've had ceramics top and bottom for one year now. At my first consultations my ortho never said I couldn't have them on the bottom or anything like that . He made it clear that it was completely up to me, now that I think about it he didn't even recommend metal braces. I've never had prob...

Lucy, I don't know. Hopefully somebody else does.

Up until they gave me these I had powerchains for about 3-4 months, though
My git feeling is that the two serve different purposes.

I m really looking forward to that . halleluja! :) hehe talking about fast movement and such --I don't know if you can see it well in the pics, but I also got this spring on the bottom left side...It's AMAZING! --in 24 hours it opened up a wide gap between my bottom incisor and my bottom rotated can...

"work wonders" --oh, I like the sound of that !! my ortho said I was gonna have these only until next adjustment and then never have to see them again ...hope he doesn't change his mind. they've been hurting my teeth a lot, so I though they were really putting a lot of new pressure, which ...

wow, I'm confused...why intrude the incisors? (these are the second teeth, right?)
pushing the canines inward would be just perfect
but I guess I really don't have a good grasp of how all this works

See, I was kindda hoping they would bring this protruding canine a bit down and in to align it with the other teeth.
