Wisdom tooth problems

Hi all, Well we are very nearly there but we are waiting for what was once a very impacted wisdom tooth to upright itself, with the help of the braces, before they are coming off - thats the good news - shouldn't be too long now! I would say it's 80% erupted so far. However this week the gum area su...

"All done" he says.. except for this pesky wisdom

Morning all! I have just come back from my latest appointment. My ortho says we are all done except for an impacted wisdom tooth at the back that is taking its time to right itself. He is going to refer me to a consultant who he says has a few 'tricks up his sleeve', such as 'an uprighting spring' t...

Jaswi - i totally agree. My dentist asked if i was going to get my teeth shaved down (horizontally) after treatment to creat a nice straight line.... HOW can this be of any benefit to your teeth - surely it is just stripping off enamel??

I think my answer will be a resounding NO!

So far there have been no problems except that it seems to take an AGE to move compared to my other teeth (perhaps because it is bigger?) My ortho has saidd that once it is place th...

Why didn't you have braces as a child/teen?

Just wondering really what everyone's story is on this?

I was 14 and my dentist said to my mum Freya needs braces! She said, No thanks, i don't believe in meddling with nature

How I wish she had.... the grief/ embarrassment my crooked teeth caused!

Latex-free elastics (UK)

Hi guys

I've had elastics fitted this morning and seeing as i'll be wearing them non stop, does anyone know where i could find a supplier of funky coloured ones?

Oh - only problem is, they gotta be latex free!!

Thanks, freya
