So on Thursday the receptionist called me and confirmed my appointment for Friday. After confriming I said, "so what's up?" and she said that she had talked to Jenn and that she was not interested, but that she was just being shy and they were working on her for me. So I said cool and went...

So I went back today. I only saw her for a second, in that second she told me she wish I didn't show up (with a grin), then she went to help another patient. That was the last time I saw her because she left right afterwards. Not willing to let things go I talked to the receptionist as she was leavi...

Dating an ortho's assistant

Is this the stupidest thing in the world to do or what? One of my ortho's assistant's is really cute. She's always making fun of me when I'm there and I give it back to her pretty good. It's gotten to the point that the other assistants have described her as my "fan club". I'll be getting ...

Yep, I use a Phillips Sonicare which is great.

I did not get a dental cleaning before getting braces and it wasn't a problem.

It's probably not the braces as much as it is your (and mabey his) inexperience. I would suggest starting a little slower, with closed lips and getting comfortable with each other. No need to try to eat each others faces (right off the bat atleast).

I would tell your oprtho that you are very happy with the treatment, but that you find his assistant to have a very negative attitude towards the patients and you would prefer not to see the assistant anymore. Then glower right back at the assistant the way she/he glared at you.

I'm able to remove 99% of the food stuck in my braces with my tounge. Every once and a while something will get stuck and I'll need a tool (any sharp object at hand) to pick it out.

I snowboard alot and I get a bit afraid that I'll knock some teeth out on the rails, but not afraid enough to wear a mouthgaurd. I figure that if I get my teeth messed up that I already have the braces on and my ortho can fix it fairly fast. I may start wearing one after I get my braces off. BTW, ye...

I'm getting my 5 bottom front teeth shaved down. So far it's been going fine, but it's not far enough along to straighten out all of my teeth.
