Humidifiers: Cool Mist? Warm Mist? Either/Or?

:computer:

I'm planning on getting one and wanted to see what type is most effective in recovery. Thanks!

Thanks for the response and the link, Chicago! :D

Specifically, can you let me know what you were able to purchase that was covered by your FSA?

I'm looking over the list, and I was wondering if purchasing a humidifier is covered....

Using my FSA card to purchase food/other post-op supplies

Has anyone been able to use their FSA card to purchase food for their post-op recovery? I wasn't sure if it would be covered, although I'm hoping it will....

Thanks,

George

Ha, I was going to post a topic on this...it seems that getting an electric razor is the best bet.

Gosh, if it takes almost 2 weeks to recover from just the lower jaw surgery, how long will it take for both jaws? I'm getting mine done on a Friday, then I was going to take next week off, then come back the following Monday. It doesn't seem like that's possible. I'm sure my surgeon will be able to...

Awesome! Mine's on the 27th. We should have a thread (maybe this one) so all the February patients can convene and cry on each other's shoulders!

Recovering alone.

I'm not trying to garnish sympathy from you or anything, but I will be essentially going at this recovery thing alone. I'm going to try to stock up as much as I can and I'll have someone to take me to the hospital and back home, but that's pretty much it. Just wanted to see if anyone else was in thi...

I keep thinking about that since where Dr. Forrestor and TV's Frank look into the camera with microphones and say, "DEEP HURTING! DEEP HURTING!" I'm sure I'll be saying that soon.

Can I laugh during my recovery?

Hi there! I'm trying to gather viewing materials for my post-op paradise. I have in my possession every episode of my favorite TV show: Mystery Science Theater 3000 (if you know and love this show too, you're my friend for life!). I always crack up when I watch it, but I'm worried that this will mes...

Hey there! I had my share my insurance woes. I have a PPO with Cigna and they denied me...twice. Even my oral surgeon didn't think I had a chance of getting approved and suggested I change jobs! Eventually I had to appeal before a panel, and even then I didn't get approval for the genioplasty (I'm g...

I'm having upper/lower/genio. As far as lip incompetence is concerned, I'm just assuming that it will be taken care naturally.

Hey stranger! ;) I figured I make my first post before I get booted. It looks like we're having our surgery at the same time - mine is scheduled for the 27th of Feb! That would be awesome to have someone doing this along with me. And hello to everyone in this forum...I will definitely be participati...
