My braces are off! My braces are off! I have never seen my teeth look this good! I hve a perm retainer on top. My two front teeth. Then on Thursday I pick up my bottom hawley, and top essix.

How exciting! Everyone is getting NAKED! Mine will be off on the 26th! Thats in 5 days! You guys need to post some pics!

I'm getting my braces off all in one day! The doc said I'll be with him for three hours that day! So excited! 19 more days!

28 days is way to long. My ortho does essix in house. even if you don't need as essix he makes you one while the your hawley is being made out in the lab. You need something to keep your teeth stable.

RICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wiat to eat rice! I can eat rice and smile right after i eat it and have no treats stuck in my teeth! YAY! I think that I am going to get my hair dyed that day!

wow! Alot of people are getting their braces of within the next few months. I am most looking fowrd to flossing, and it not taking 20 min. To do.

I talked to my OS and he just said its a side effect. My sense of smell might come back it might not.....I'm not sure how clear I was in my last post, but my sense of smell has not completly gone...its just...not as hightened if you know what I mean. But I can live with it. It's worth having the sur...

You cannot go wrong with this method. Go to your dentist. Ask for a prescription of this special high flouride toothpaste called prevendent. I had a frenectomy done when I was 16. It does not hurt, I did not even know they did it for the longest. The OS said if he had not taken it out then the gums would push my teeth apart and the gap would reform. They just cut of that peice of gum and put one little stich in it.

Call you dentist or ortho and see if they will make you a "fake" essix retainer. The clinc i work at does them. It's like anight gaurd that is fitted to your teeth.

I have noticed that ever since my surgery my sense of smell is almost non existent (sp?) Even when I change my son's diaper I barley smell a thing...and my rascal is a very potent baby!
Even flowers smell dull. Has this happened to anybody? It has been 4 months since surgery.

Since you are in the setteling stage they will probably be taking lots of measurements of you rbite, and doing little tweaks here and there. Your appointment can take up to 40 min, but might not take that long. March is right around the corner!
