There was a period of about 3 months where I didn't go because I was sick and had to reschedule my appointment which I couldn't get until this month.

Trust me, it took me 2 or 3 weeks to get used to eating with it. When I had one, I would chew my food a lot so that there were no big chunks left and then use my tongue to push the food back in my mouth and then swallow it.

My original treatment time was roughly 18 months. The main concern I have with my orthodontist is that he doesn't seem to be doing anything for my bite.
