I had a Lefort 1 done on 71/09. The roof of my mouth doesn't feel that strange. My tongue just found it the other day! (LOL)
I just feel little ridges like normal. I definitely can tell its wider!! Which is a good thing. I had a VERY narrow palate.

Hope I answered some of your questions.

Hi there, Well my swelling was really going down on both sides. However, my right side was always more swollen than my left. I saw my OS yesterday and I asked about sleeping. He said I could sleep the way I normally sleep. So, I went ahead and slept on my right side. I'm not sure if this is the prob...

I had a Lefort 1 done on July 1. The swelling was really going down until today!! My OS said I could resume my normal sleeping habits. Well, I guess that didn't work! I slept on my right side. I woke up and my face was very sore and very swollen! I started icing it all over again. It is very frustra...

right side very swollen!

Hi guys,

I woke up this morning and the right side of my face is huge! It's almost as bad as it was the first day.

The only thing I can think of was that I slept on the right side of my face.

I am kinda concerned. Did this happen to any of you?

That's good to hear! I had my Lefort 1 on Wednesday of last week. I had an overjet and narrow palate.

I haven't had many complications, its just so frustrating when you can't breathe!!!

Stuffy nose?

Hi guys,

This is REALLY embarassing!! When does all the nose gunk come out? I feel like there are large craters in my nostrils?

I have been using saline and afrin, but I still feel stuffed up.

Any advice?

antibiotics

I am allergic to penicillin and sulfa so they prescribed Cleocin. My stomach is still upset, but not half as bad. Too much medication with nothing in our stomachs. NOT A GREAT FEELING!! I'm getting really frustrated with the nasal congestion, but hopefully that wll pass soon. will keep in touch.

Pain Meds & decongestant

Hi all, :D Well, I'm day 5 and feeling pretty good. (Lefort 1) I also had all of my wisdom teeth pulled so I'm really swollen. I had a rough time with my antibiotics so my OS took me off antibiotics completely. How are all of you? How long did you use pain medication? Did you switch to tylenol/motri...

Made it to the other side!

Hi June Crew, Thank you for your replies. I felt fairly prepared when I left Wednesday morning for surgery. Your posts are really lifesavers. The surgeon told my sister in law that the surgery went well. I did not stay at the hospital. I've had a few bumps in the road. The congestion was AWFUL! I wo...

Surgery - Wednesday - July 1

Hello to everyone who is on the other side, My surgery is Wednesday morning. It has been really helpful to read your posts. It seems like the first 3 days are the worst. How did you sleep? on your back? in a recliner? How did you deal with nasal congestion? I'm having a Lefort 1 and have heard the c...

Tazzle and Blindboarder, Glad to hear things went well :-) Wishing you a healthy and speedy recovery! :-) I got a call from my oral surgeon that they want to move my surgery to July 1. I guess I'm not part of the June crew anymore (LOL) I'm getting a little nervous. I'm not sure what to expect after...
