Re: New to Braces and I hate it
Hi all, Greetings to everyone. I am new to this forum. I got my braces on last Friday and I hate it. Right now its only on upper teeth since dentist said she is working on to correct my first bite. 6 months later, she plans to putin the lower ones too. I have metal braces & not ceramic. I hate ...

What to expect from ortho with acky molar filling
I've had so much trouble from one of the lower wisdom teeth on the left side, from crowding and from crossbite issues. I've had it filled since last year and it still tingles some when i chew, and is sencitive to sugary products. I've had the tooth delt with because of a highspot because it was hitt...

Just think about all the schmucks out there that would'nt spend a dime on there teeth if they had to. Most spend money on everything else under the sun, but there teeth, and your atleast putting a vested intrest in your smile. So smile with pride and pat yourself on the back and think about how good...

Yeah my filling might be a little to high, it might be a little to low, what do i know (LOL). But in any event, i cant keep going back to the dentist, because i dont have that kind of time. If i could just snap my fingers and make the problem go away, that would be cool to, but i do remember though,...

? about one of my fillings
One of my fillings is really getting on my last nerve, had the darn thing filled twice, and each time, its as if its gotten more sensitive than it was before i got it filled. The first filling, part of it fell out, and it felt real sensitive when i would chew. She redid it with a white filling two m...

WOW your teeth look great what ever you might think, but i wander though, could it be that your time is almost up? How many months were you set up for, if it even matters though, but by spending more time on you, he might be wanting to charge you more if it takes another 6 months or so to get your m...

Bad posture, slouching and overbite
Since i've begun pocking around on this site, i've learned a whole lot about myself. Things like TMJ, recessed jaw, why a tooth still hurts even after its been filled twice. But nothing compairs to what i realised about myself, while checking out the photos that the ortho took of me and my teeth. Ma...

Yeah the second ortho explained to me that if i wanted a faster result, that surgery was a good idea, but would take longer without. His quote was $4,000 flat, even for the Damons top and bottom, but he wanted all the money up front. The third ortho quoted $1,860 down, at $312. per month for...

Lower jaw surgery delima
I've talked to three Ortho's, and the third one pushed towards OS. The first Ortho said that he believes that i can get buy with out any OS. Just wandering if anyone went on without getting OS for lower jaw surgery, when they were told they should have it. The dentist that i go to, got her braces at...

The OS benefits really aren't meant to cover orthognathic surgery. They are meant to cover things like extractions. $1500 will not come anywhere close to the bill for any kind of jaw surgery. Orthognathic surgery is usually covered (if at all) by medical insurance. SirWired So i guess i stand a goo...

Im confused
Been to three Ortho's, the first one told me that he thought he could get by with out surgery. The second Ortho told me that if i wanted a faster result, surgery is an oppsion, but he can work around it. The third Ortho was more involved with the exam, and was really pushing for lower jaw surgery be...
