Hi, I am on aligner 15 of 36 currently. I only drink water with my braces in day to day, I have never drank anything hot. If I have an evening out to bars I will drink anything cold with them in and have not had any problems, This is no more than once a fortnight but the braces are pretty yucky when...

I have lost 2 stone since I started my invisalign 6 months ago, I am trying to lose weight anyway but in the 9 months before invisalign I only manaaged to lose 1 stone so the difference shows, it is definitely the inability to just pick up food and put it in your mouth without thinking about it. I n...

I have acrylic tips and they actually make getting the aligners out easier as they are stronger then your own fingernails. I use the paper towel trick all the time as don't have very good natural nails so this is the only time I have been able to get the braces out without paper towel, I have loads ...

Hi, I had the most awful staining on the glue around the edge of my attachments after they were only a couple of weeks old, my hygeinist polished it all off and recommended using a whitening toothpaste which I use all the time now. She said that the staining was due to me using listerine mouthwash a...

I would guess it is because your mouth is a little dryer, just try to drink a bit more water to keep your mouth moist

I completely agree with what John said. My mouth was very sore the first week especially whilst eating without the brace in, the attachments rubbed and irritated my lips and inside mouth, I also go a really sore tongue too till it got used to the foreign brace being in my mouth. Give it a couple of ...

Try not to lose faith, remember that people who have a smooth ride with invisalign are much less likely to look on the interenet for help and write on message boards. I have 14 attachments and at first I did have a few come off and had to go back and get them put back on and they haven't come off si...

Hi, I had to wait 3 weeks after extraction to have my impressions done, this was plenty of time for my wound to heal enough for the impressions.

I had a slight lisp for the first day of my first aligner then I was fine, I had elastics attached with my second aligner and since I have a really noticable lisp which people at work keep noticing and my Fiance keeps teasing me about. I hope it doesn't last too long it has been 4 days and it is sti...

Hi Lyra, did you find that the elastics rubbed the inside of your mouth at first making it a bit sore on the inside of your cheeks/lips? Mine are rubbing a bit at the moment and I am hoping it will pass.

Hi, I use elastics with invisalign, I have it attached from a notch cut into the plastic from my upper canine down to the back molar on both sides. I have a bad over bite and my treatment inviolves moving my back molars back to make room to pull my front teeth inwards to correct the overbite. My den...
