Brenden, I saw Dr. G for my consultation today and I think my surgery will be quite similar to yours. He said my airway is 2 standard deviations smaller than the average and I'll be needing my upper moved forward and also my lower moved forward as well. Because both jaws are going to be moved forwar...

Did you pay all out of pocket? I'm not from CA and my insurance most likely will not cover it. Are you in CA? How did you go about insurance with Dr. Gunson's office?
How's recovery going for you?

Brenden,

I think I remember you saying Dr. Gunson's fees were 37K. Is that just for his fee or does that include hospital/anesthesiologist?

I see Dr. Gunson for my consultation in 2 weeks.

Thanks,
Ryan

Brenden, Thanks for your quick reply. I think it's a really cool idea to post videos on youtube of your recovery/surgery experience. I hope you post more videos, I'd be interested to see how your "hopefully speedy" recovery goes. Do you know if Dr. Gunson/Arnett do their surgeries in their...

Hey, I'm going to Dr. Gunson too in May for a consultation. I'm a 24 year old male. I'm seeing him for slight asymmetry, small airway, and TMJ issues. I watched the video and you don't seemed stressed at all. Good for you! I'm already trippin'. Are you from CA? How expensive is Dr. Gunson? Are you g...

Questions about Kaiser Insurance

Questions about Kaiser: 1.) Can you get Kaiser Permanente if you don't live in one of their designated zip codes, which are mainly in CA, WA, OR? I live in UT. 2.) If you use Kaiser Insurance, do you have to go through a Kaiser Surgeon? I have an appointment with Dr. Gunson in Santa Barbara, CA in M...

Asymmetry: Still Growing?

Hi, my name is Ryan. I'm new to the group. I just returned from Dallas after seeing Dr. Wolford . He said I either have an osteoma or condylar hyperplasia , which both lead to asymmetry . I will soon be undergoing both upper and lower jaw surgery for a tilted occlusal plane and asymmetry. I may also...
