I've just had STB's fitted (yesterday) and am really happy. I was mentally preparing myself for the worst and the reality is much better. I know! I had my lingual braces fitted to my top teeth yesterday and it's really fine. Hardly any discomfort and talking is much easier than I expected as well. Eating is a bit of a problem but I'm just sticking to soft stuff for the time being. I'm really relieved - I have put off doing this for TE...

Know exactly what you mean about speech etc. Am also a bit worried. Have taken three days off work this week to have a bit of time to get used to them and am also trying to work out what to do with my tongue! They are getting fitted today, so I will let you know how it feels later. All the very best...

Ceramics and LInguals
Hi there, I have just had ceramics fitted on my bottom teeth and am going in a couple of days to have linguals on my upper teeth. My problem is just general crowding which has caused some teeth to buckle quite a lot. Does anyone else have both kinds of braces? Is there anything I need to be aware of...
