Im having the exact same issue. Im afraid its messing up my bite. Ive only been in retainers for 3 days and have gone back to have them checked and the ortho adjusted a few things but its not any better. Maybe it is normal? Its frustrating. The fact that I can hardly speak with them sucks even more.

I cried and cried and freaked out in the dentist chair when I went in for my two extractions... it was such a scary experience but I lived through it. If I can do it, anyone can Plus, I was 24 at the time and felt SO retarted acting the way I did in that chair.

You poor thing.. Jaw surgery sounds so scary to me.
