When do you notice an approvement in your appearance?
I am only on day 2 of recovery, but for those who have gone through this, when did you start to notice a change in your appearance? Is it true you won't get a true idea until 4-6 months? And what did you have done? Any input would be appreciated.

Questions to ask at the pre-op consultation?
Does any have any questions they recommended to the surgeon during my pre-op inteview? My concerns: -pain immediately after surgery -if they are doing both jaws (I was told most likely just bottom); Ireally want to get this right Having said that I don't want to be pushy at all. It is his job and sk...

Upper and lower recovery time vs just lower
Can anyone give me an idea at what recovery time either just lower jaw surgery vs upper and lower?
How much time will I need at work? I have an office job.
Thanks, again.

Bilateral Mandibular Osteotomy
Does this just mean lower jaw surgery?
Also, should the patient have any say in whether to do both jaws or should I just forget it and leave it up to the OS and orthodontist?

Is it vain?
I was told by my orthodontist that this will be one of the best decisions I have ever made. I agree with him, and I am excited for this process. Having said that, lately when I tell people about this and the more I think about my change in appearance, I feel all my friends and family will consider i...

They have not told me if I need upper done as well?
Hi, I was wondering if anyone can help me out. I have been undergoing orthodontic treatment and I have surgery planned for sometime in the new year. I have had a meeting with the surgeon and he did not tell me either way. The orthodontist has not told me either way either, however, he explained he i...

I have invisaline... I'm considering Orthodontic surgery
I am becoming more regretful that I did not choose to do the surgery route. Does anyone know how much trouble it would be to decide on surgery halfway through my invisaline treatment?

I have come to the decision I want to change my weak jaw structure. My mother's side of the famly has extremely weak jaws, but now I just starting to realize how bad I could be in the future. I currently have invisaline. Will my invisaline treatment I've had so far be a complete waste? How should I ...
