Hello, I am about to be done with my last invisalign refinement- yay! While at the office today, I asked about getting a permanent retainer for the bottom teeth... my dentist refuses to place one, as he is concerned about teeth decay. Has anyone else had this dilemma? Hi Everyone, My refinements came in today (about 4 weeks after they were ordered)... I have 15 more retainers!!! Is this common?? I intially had 15 to start out with, but it look likes 15 more. Also, the refinements fit my teeth exactly... it's crazy Anyone else had any similar experiences? Leigh

sorry for the late reply... but absolutely remove them! Because you are undergoing general anesthetic you will be unable to manage your airway, when they are intubating or placing an LMA they could knock the retainer loose and cause an airway obstruction.

Hi Everyone,
Just a little vent... I'm on 11 of 15 on the bottom and done on the top. Aligner 10 moved my teeth significantly, but now I'm not seeing any movement with aligner 11! I feel like I should see significant movement, as I'm so close to being done.
Anyone else have that experience?

I think I'm gonna have to sacrifice, and just rise my mouth out before putting the aligners back in at work... maybe I can sneak in a quick brush at the ER :D You'd think riding around in a mobile hospital, it would be easy! but work is the worst place with Invis...

So I think I will be getting four attachments on the upper arch... I think they are going on the canine and bicuspid. Does anyone else have them there, and how noticeable are they?
