Molars not overlapping Properly on both sides, uncomfortable

I had my braces off in February after having them for 3.5 years. I felt immediately that something just didn't feel right when I bit my teeth together my upper teeth do overlap my lower teeth but my back teeth just don't seem to feel right when they touch and seem to slip and don't feel firm I menti...

Re: Late treatment woes, not looking forward to debanding no

Urrrggh, just cleaned my teeth and that space between my front teeth, now extends down to about half the length of the front teeth what is going on, I can't help but wonder if part of the teeth chipped under the pressure or something. And this constant build up of saliva, and spitting when I speak i...

Re: Late treatment woes, not looking forward to debanding no

I think it's just the angle I took the picture at, I don't think I have a deep bite, my upper just gently touch the brackets on my lower incisors, it's not the the point where I think I have to worry about it, and I'd much rather have this than what I had before with the gigantic open bite where I ...

Re: Late treatment woes, not looking forward to debanding no

My bite feels perfect to me I actually had a gigantic open bite before treatment, I think what Archwired28 meant was that your upper teeth significantly cover your lower ones (which is what a "deep bite" is). Most people who have that issue get treated so that those teeth are brought up h...

Re: Late treatment woes, not looking forward to debanding no

Looks to me that it is not something that can be fixed by orthodontics. I think there's some bone/gum recession issues may be going on. I would definitely consult with your regular dentist about it. But if I were you, I would not even be worried about the cosmetic part of it. To me, it's not very n...

Late treatment woes, not looking forward to debanding now

I was really looking forward to my braces coming off in 2 months until just recently my teeth were looking great then all of a sudden since they changed the wire last time(one they use to let the teeth settle in) I have had a space open up in the upper region of my two front teeth and the spaces on ...

Re: On home stretch to debanding yet spaces opening/excess s

Hey, do they have you on powerchains to keep the gaps closed? maybe you could talk about that to the ortho. But as far as a lot of spit in your mouth that is definatly normal and only happens for me with elastics optherwise im fine. You could always wait and see in two months and if there is still ...

Re: Sliding Genioplasty Post Op troubles 8 months on

hi dabrit Sorry to hear of the trouble you're having with the SG. How many mm's did they advance you? Do the lips not rest comfortably when relaxed? They advanced the chin 7mm, my lips can close together but still look a little awkward doing so, my upper lip looks thinner and more hidden now, and m...

Eeks! It does sound like a sinus infection that is starting to clear up. The sore throat might be from the postnasal drip, I used to get that when I had sinus infections. I can't imagine how bad it must be, with the surgery and everything. Hopefully the antibiotic is helping to clear it up. Were yo...

Oh! He also said that the surgery itself gets into the sinus and nasal cavities with the incisions so it can feel a bit like a cold afterwards. You're probably having a worse version of that. I hope you start to feel better soon! I doubt, that its just that since I didn't have any mucus coming from...

Hi everyone, This thread is so incredibly useful for anyone planning to have a SARPE surgery. Thanks for all the info here! I am going to have my first appointment with the oral surgeon tomorrow (he took out my wisdom teeth last year, so I trust him!). I was just wondering what I should be asking. ...
