I'm getting spacers due to a bracket on my crowned tooth. The bracket only broke off once. Something about a bracket on a crowned tooth I guess.

My bracket just fell off while I was brushing my teeth last night. It was the molar bracket on the bottoms. I hope the wire stays put because I got about an inch and a half of wire sticking out. If it get to be a problem, I'll just put some wax on it or cut it off. I'll be going to the ortho on Mond...

Here's something I found on another site. A boil bite will work better than nothing of course. But a dentist recommened custom fitted mouthguard will always provide superior protection to people with braces. Boil and bites are listed 2nd out of 4 for dentist prefered oral protection when it comes to...

Double Mouthguard Review

I've been using the Breathable Tuff Guard mouth guards and they work great for me. It doesn't quite fit perfect but protects my lips and cheeks from cuts. It does take some getting use to. In a couple rolls (grappling). I walked away with small cuts, which is normal in this hobby. This guy was a bit...

Welcome to AW..

You can use a salt water rinse or Peroxyl for canker sores and minor mouth wounds.

Things will get better in a few days.

Double Mouthguard

I've been searching around for a double mouthguard that is braces friendly. So far I've found Shock Doctor, BrainPad, and Powrgard. I also got one from my ortho which is a little thin for martial arts. Anyone out there have any experience with Shock Doctor, BrainPad, Powrgard or any other vendor? I ...

I called ahead of time to verify if my dentist would prefer to have the archwire removed. It all depends on the dentist preference...I guess. My dentist requested to have them removed when I'm due for my cleaning.

I've noticed that too on my teeth. Brushing remove a little at a time. Hang in there. I've been using warm saltwater rinses and lots of ice cream to soothe my mouth.

How long should I wait until I get back into class?

Up till a week ago, I've been practicing ju-jitsu. Just wondering if anyone from this forum has been in this situation. I already have the brace friendly mouthguard the ortho gave me. Teeth are a little sore but manageable.
