i can't believe you were able to go out to a restaurant at all on sunday. my pain hasn't been excruciating but i DEFINITELY was in no position to eat solid foods yet 4 days ago. I can barely manage it now! (then again, i'm a baby)

Treatment's going to be around 18 months, but the bottoms aren't going on for another 4-5 or so.

Aww yay!! I think yours and my pre-braces problems are pretty similar--the bottom row, especially. I haven't had to have spacer or anything, though, so that's a relief. Do you have an estimated treatment time? Look forward to watching your progress as my own teeth start to change, too!

Ok. Finally got pics. I got the first ones from my orthodontist so those are a lot better quality than the one I have of the braces on. As far as pain goes, I didn't think it was bad until I was eating oatmeal and bit (gently) into the little fruit piece. OMG was that bad. I haven't chewed anything ...

Congrats!! I had my b-day today, and I'm supposed to have about 18 months treatment time, too! So we'll be on the path together! No soreness yet for me, but I took tylenol before my appointment and just took my second dose (4.5 hours later) so maybe that's helping. Hard to tell. Best of luck, though...
