Re: November Buddies

@I AM A SHITHEAD SPAMMER. PLEASE REPORT ME TO THE ADMIN! I'm 7 weeks post-op for an underbite. My nose widened and it's sort of pointing upwards too plus the bridge of my nose has become flatter. I'm hoping it's nothing something permanent (especially the pointyness). Are you able to open your jaws ...

7 weeks post-op. still can't open my jaws

Hi all I am 7 weeks and a few days post op from a double jaw + genioplasty. Recovery has been slow but the feelings are coming back and stiffness has reduced. However, I still can't open my jaws wide enough to take soft food in. Right now, I can open only about 2-3mm. If I try to open any more, I fe...

How can I clean the back of my teeth?

I'm about 3 weeks post-op and still banded. I change my bands once a day but I'm still having trouble opening my mouth. How can i go on about brushing the back of my teeth? I can feel the build up of plague with my tongue and it's grossing me out + concerns about cavities. How did you guys do it?

Having trouble with coughing/ why is my chest yellow?

Hi all

I'm 6 days post-op and I'm having trouble coughing up mucus/phlegm, etc. When I try to I can feel my chest still congested with them, but they just won't come out. Any suggestions?

Also, my chest has been bruised to yellow/green in colour but my face, jaws, everywhere is fine? is this normal?

I'm two days post-op with my nose slightly looking crooked to one side. The surgeon explained that one nostril had a bigger tube entered in...but I don't know. Is having a crooked nose a common thing with swelling and all? I wouldn't be surprised.. I know my nose looked HUGE for about a week after ...

Double jaw surgery in Ontario, Canada

I need to go for a double jaw surgery for an underbite and I'm wondering if anyone in Ontario Canada has gone through this. What is and is not covered by OHIP? I'm getting different information from different people. I've heard that surgery itself is covered but not hospital stays and preparation fe...

Am I wearing my elastics correctly?

I have an underbite and got elastics for my braces today. The orthodontist showed me how to put it on and take it off, but when I came home today I came upon information on how elastics are worn for different bites. For overbites, the information stated, the elastics are worn on the front for the up...

Self-ligating braces - open door on one of the brackets

I have self-ligating braces. After my adjustment last week, I noticed that the bracket door on one of my teeth was open so that the wire on that tooth is exposed, as opposed to other teeth, where the wire is covered off by the closed door. I dont really feel pressure or pain on that side of my mouth...
