Re: Please Help!!...Trouble breathing after surgery (nasal)
I am totally one of those people who cannot stand being unable to breathe so this surgery has been driving me nuts. I am 3 days post op from a Lefort 1 and I gotta say the best stuff I've had has been a humidifier and a baby nose aspirator(it's wonderful to get all the gunk out when you can't blow y...

Re: MARCH 2011 BUDDIES
I am one day post op. =] My Lefort 1 surgery was actually scheduled for May 2nd, but it was bumped up at the last minute to March 28th and I am so glad it's over with. Got home from the hospital today, lots of swelling and pressure but I am able to talk and move around quite easily.

That's a very pretty dress! It looks simple and not too overbearing for an August day. I'm engaged and was to be married in the fall, but we're pushing the wedding off til next fall since I will -hopefully- be out of braces by then and I'm due to have surgery in August and will probably be puffy fac...

Bit of an update -- I had my lower arch braced in October, that went nicely and I had no major issues. I'll have to post pictures soon. I've had two adjustments since then but nothing major. I was originally supposed to have my SARPE on October 19th, but I had to reschedule it til January 25th since...

Thanks! Yup, as far as I know that's how things will go. I'll be under anesthesia for both procedures and for now it only concerns my top jaw. There doesn't seem to be any issues with my bottom jaw, but who knows what can arise between now and then. I've browsed through some of the surgery threads o...

Heya! I had my third adjustment a few weeks ago and they put on a heavier wire. I'm getting my lowers put on October 7th. I'm still scheduled to have surgery on October 19th, but I may postpone it depending on whether or not I get cast in the play my school is doing since it will conflict with my pe...

Well I never did get around to posting those pictures. I got sidetracked by the fact it was my birthday (I turned 21! yay!) and all the fun that followed that. I had my second adjustment on the 16th of July. Nothing changed no new wires or anything. They had to take a look at a few of my teeth since...

Yesterday was my first adjustment! I went in and the assistant took my arch wire out and I got to brush my teeth without it in. It was very weird not having it in there to say the least. I use my own toothbrush for environmental and personal reasons [it’s electric and I prefer it to a disposable m...

Oh neat, hi! :) I don't have any dental insurance either and mine are running around $6300. I would say it is definitely worth it though. I've already seen a few major improvements in my bite and cosmetically. I'll have more pictures up hopefully by the weekend as I've got an adjustment on Thursday....

2nd Part
Hiya cathkay! Thanks for your support! It's awesome to see someone else with my issues on here too. I was searching for it and couldn't find many similar to mine. So here's the second part: On Tuesday of this week (May 5, 2009!) I went into the office at 11am to have new records done. I had molds ta...

Libby's very Long & Involved Braces Story.
I’m Libby(short for Elizabeth) I’m 20 years old and from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in the US. I’m finally getting braces after years and years of b.s. I’m medically diagnosed with a Class III Malocclusion with Mandibular prognathism. My fourth molars do not touch, all of my upper front teet...
