Chicago...That sucks... I have only had my expanders in for a month and am sooo looking forward to getting them both removed in Oct as expected. I don’t have my braces yet, but I will be in the same boat as you very soon!!!

I started expanding yesterday, 1 turn on top and 1 on bottom in the morning and the same at night. I know I will be feeling weird stuff... but it feels like both my upper lip and lower lip at the incision point is being pulling apart. It feels super tight. Is this a normal sensation?

I am so happy I found this board! The folks here are awesome! Reading past posts has helped me through the whole process from pre surgery doubt to post surgery questions and concerns.

My ortho said I would not be braced untill 5-7 months after surgery. I think he wanst the expander in for atleast 6 months if i remember. Its all becoming a blur!!
