I don't understand how I'm supposed to reliably keep my retainers clean if we're recommended not to brush them due to it causing scratching. I do soak them in efferdent denture cleaner things, but after I pull them out and rinse them off and look at them I still tend to see some plaque buildup or so...

I just realized that my back molars do not touch, and am wondering if this is normal. Sort of makes me sad.

Hm, why is that? That's not a problem for me to wait, although I am just curious for the reasoning.

Another question - If I plan on having bonding done, should I bleach my teeth right now? I hear that the bonded material is unbleachable.

I did ask him about it, and he sort of just said "no... that will chip! There's nothing better than your real teeth!" I was kind of just thinking "okay, cool... except my teeth don't look good

I've had my braces off for about a month now, and even with being straight and biting properly and everything, I have never liked how the bottom of my teeth are rather uneven, unsmooth, and look a bit short. Wearing my clear plastic retainers though, it almost makes it look as if I've gotten veneers...

Not to be a party pooper but I never saw the use in this whole zip n squeez fest. I didn't have anything like that and the eating/drinking wasn't really that difficult. Don't flip out if you didn't receive yours or something.
