Hello, I don't believe there is standard time for full time retainer wear. It seems to depend on the type of problem that was corrected, degree of tooth movement during your treatment etc. Per various posts I have read over the last year, orthos can recommend straight to night time wear, or 3 months...

I was told to use the chewies for the first 3-4 days of each tray. I personally use them twice a day for the first few days of each tray. I find that is enough to correct any little areas that aren't fitting perfectly when I initially change the tray. I am on tray 8 and haven't experienced any probl...

Hi DeeMinou. I'm not sure if you are being treated by an orthodontist or a dentist. If you are being treated by a dentist, I would recommend that you visit an orthodontist to have your bite assessed. He/she can recommend the best course of action to fix the bite issues caused by Invisalign. Most of ...

I asked my ortho this very question at the start of my treatment (21U/20L). He told me that I should start to see a noticeable difference at tray 9. I am currently wearing aligner 7 and very much hoping that I will start to see a difference after the next couple of trays...

Your case sounds very similar to mine. I have an overjet and I have an openbite (the openbite is a result of a flawed Invisalign treatment by a cosmetic dentist last year...but that's another story...). I have 10 attachments across the front teeth. They are rectangular in shape and sit at the bottom...

What has always worked for me is using a small square of paper towel which helps me get a firm grip on the aligner. I start by pulling the aligner off from the last molar on one side of my mouth and then just work my way around to the other side. I have 10 attachments on my top teeth and 8 on the bo...

I received six aligners after my last visit so it will be 3 months between visits for me. However, I was told to phone the office if I experienced any problems with respect to the aligners fitting my teeth(or if an attachment were to break off) prior to the next appointment.

I had a mid-course correction last year. I was quoted 4-6 weeks for the new aligners; however, I was surprised to receive them in exactly 3 weeks. I live in Canada. I suppose location makes a difference with respect to the waiting period.

Your orthodontist should provide you with an Invisalign case for the aligners. Other than that I am always stocked up on the following: At home: The cleaner that starts with the letter P that has been used in spam posts, so it's censored. Retainer cleaner tablets which I use every second day, a soft...

I actually just got 18! attachments placed on my teeth 3 days ago. They are rectangular in shape and were placed at the bottom of each tooth. I have 10 across the front top teeth and eight across the bottom front teeth. I was terrified about how I would look; however, they honestly don't look that b...

My previous post is actually earlier in this thread where I briefly described my experience. Basically, I started out with straight teeth and back molars that closed perfectly when I bit down. I had an overjet of the front teeth. The overjet wasn't very noticeable to others, but it was starting to b...

I notice a few posts expressing concern regarding potential drop in revenues for Invisalign. In my opinion revenue cannot be the first consideration when dealing with a medical treatment! People are willing to pay very large fees for this product and the treatment involves tremendous inconvenience w...

Thanks for your replies. It's great to get insights from people that are going through the same Invisalign experience. Overall I am very consistent about wearing the aligners minimum 21 hours per day. It seems like I would be able to leave them out slightly longer than I have been in order to enjoy ...
