I'm on tray #5 and on thanksgiving I had mine out for 9 hrs! I usually don't leave them out for that long, and I have definetly left them out for 3 hrs before and my treatment is going along as planned. So you're good! As long as its an occasional thing, and for the most part u wear them consistently.

I'm currently on tray 2/10 and my molars on the left side are meeting more strongly than the ones on the right. It feels like its actually one molar on top and bottom that meet more strongly, almost as if they're higher, but they are not. I notice it most when I remove the aligners in the morning an...

I haven't experienced any dry mouth, if anything, I have more saliva than usual.

As I am now on day 4, I am quite comfortable and handling this like a pro, except for the eating-on-the-go part.

I saw my auntie and cousins today and they had no idea I was wearing them until I blurted it out!

It was suggested to me that Invisalign would be a better option over traditional braces because I have some periodontal issues. In November of last year I had a FULL root planing and scaling (deep cleaning) to address the periodontis, but unfortunately there has been a lot of boneloss, so I have to ...

I got mine yesterday! The biggest difference is that I can't completely bite down, so it feels like I have in Dracula teeth. I don't know if I should call it a lisp but I definetly am talking diffrently. My aligners have bubbles for attachments (3 on top, 4 on bottom). All of the attachments are on ...

THANKS everyone for your responses. I suppose I will just stick to whatever plan the ortho suggests (at least to start). I guess changing every four weeks will save on advil :)

Wireless Thanks for the reply! I'm 36 and my ortho said invisalign would be perfect for my case (closing spaces). During my initial consult he mentioned that I would probably have to wear aligners for 3 weeks, but when I took my final impressions he advised me that I would probably wear them more li...

He estimated I will have about 14 on top and a lil less on bottom. But this isn't set in stone since he had not even sent my molds to invisalign at that point. My treatment is supposed to be 12-15 months.

wearing aligners for four weeks... WTF?!

Still waiting for my aligners to come in BUT my ortho told me I would have to wear each new set for FOUR weeks because he sees better results that way. Does that sound ridiculous?

so far so good

I am anxiously awaiting my aligners! I started this process with a consult on June 16th after being referred to my ortho by my dentist. The following week my ortho took x-rays, molds and pics and two weeks after that I took impressions for invisalign. Now I am waiting for the aligners to come in. Th...
