Re: Going from invisalign to ceramic braces
Final update. I am actually having the ceramic braces removed this week(had them on for 3 months), my teeth are now more or less perfect. I only really needed the braces to fix an awkward lateral incisor(and as consequence the front tooth next to it) that wouldn't move with my invisalign trays. The ...

Re: Going from invisalign to ceramic braces
Thanks! Yeah after around 20 months in invisalign I am now looking at approx 6 months in these ceramic braces, they are not half as bad as i thought they were going to be to be honest, getting used to them already. Although eating is slightly tricky and takes some getting used to especially compared...

Going from invisalign to ceramic braces
After some serious delays with my refinements(see my other thread) that werent going to arrive until March, my dentist has suggested that instead of refinements I go for ceramic braces as waiting another 2 months for refinements is too long and i will get guaranteed better final results with traditi...

Re: 5 months for refinements :(
Well, my ortho was certain and told me that i definitely won't have to wait longer than two weeks.. it might be that your ortho didn't send your moulds straight away and that delayed everything, but on the other hand it could be Invisalign   I've got 6U/10L refinement trays, and hopeful...

Re: 5 months for refinements :(
Thanks for the response, its interesting to know you are in the UK and it took less than a month for you to be wearing them. Like i said, my initial trays were received within 6 weeks so i cannot believe what is happening now. I can't get my head around if its my ortho that has delayed matters or if...

5 months for refinements :(
After finishing my first 19 trays, my front teeth are still not quite straight so I am of course going through my first course of refinements. Now i went to have my new impressions done with my ortho on 26/10/2010 and I am still waiting for the refinement trays to arrive from invisalign. At the time...

Been waiting 6 weeks and counting for my refinements
I got my impressions done just over 6 weeks ago for my refinements and my ortho is still waiting for them to arrive from invisalign, im based in the UK btw.
Is this standard? Cant remember how long it took for my initial trays to come after my impressions but 6 + weeks seems a long time.

Thanks for the response, thats more or less what i thought(and yes i was aware the refinement trays are made from the same material :D  ). I guess i should probably expect an attachment on that tooth this time around or at least some difference in how the trays are shaped and designed to move ...

Refinements queries/concerns
Ive recently finished my treatment of 20 trays(top) and 13 trays(bottom). I went down the invisalign route primarily to fix my crooked front teeth, however now ive finished the treatment my front teeth are still not straight. One of my lateral incisers did not move(this tooth not never had an attach...

Refinements and cost querys
I am coming towards the end of my invisalign treatment(21 of 22 trays) however i am fairly sure i will need refinements as i know one more tray is not going to get my teeth to what i want given i have paid £4k for this treatment. Can anyone confirm for me how many course of refinements are included ...

I was going to ask this myself. I am on tray 4 currently and have worn each try for 3 weeks except this tray which he told me to wear for four, my dentist also says he sees better results this way. I get tray five this friday. I was a bit dissappointed initially but my dentist seems to know his stuf...
