I've never had elastics but going by what people say about them I think powerchains are a lot easier! I've had powerchains several times and for me it feels like it did the first time I got braces. But on the bright side that means that after a few days you don't feel anything

Thanks. Been braced for 8 months. Just had a bit of crowding. Was told I would only have them for 4-5 months so I guess its taken twice as long but 8 months isnt long so I can't complain!

Tomorrow is the big day! I'm slightly nervous about the results but hopefully i'll be happy with them. Fingers crossed!

I went to the ortho 2 days ago and he took molds of my teeth and set a date for me to get them off 12 days to go!!! I'm getting a permenant retainer as well as a removable one. I really can't wait!

I have white coated wires and have had them for almost 8 months and so far chipping hasnt been a problem. Not sure if im just lucky but I really can't complain about them.

I agree, you might as well get it fixed. Its only 8 months longet than you thought

I have an appointment with my ortho on Thursday and there is a chance i'll be getting my braces off (if not it will be another month which would be ok too) but I just wondered how long after getting your braces off do people still visit this forum? It might sound sad but I think I would miss visitin...

I wouldn't really consider adding my ortho. I feel as though it would be a bit like parents of the kids I teach adding me as a friends. Apart from that I would hate all my other friends to think that I should pay them £300 every time I visit them!
