I don't blame you. Just remember, you're paying good money for this and if your orthodontist agrees with you, well obviously there is something to make a fuss about. There's nothing wrong with asking questions and you shouldn't be made to feel like you're doing something wrong by asking.

Thanks for the info...I've been putting some thought into metal brackets...I didn't get them at first because I was worried about aesthetics, but now that I'm seeing results I would rather just have it done right.

I've had four brackets come off in almost 3 months, and it gets really irritating. Your teeth probably won't move much, especially this early, but I noticed that the teeth beside the one that has the broken bracket will start to hurt a bit and the pressure isn't there. It's also really annoying when...

I didn't have quite the same experience, but I got my bottom braces on about three weeks ago and I have brackets on all of my lower teeth, but I don't have a wire attached to them. The wire only goes as far as my second premolars. My guess is that the brackets were put on all at the same time so tha...

I'm sure if you want straight, healthy teeth that is definitely an option...but you need to pay attention to your dental health, especially if you've been neglecting it for so long. Your best bet is to talk to your dentist and see what your options are and make sure you aren't at risk for things lik...

Not pleased with my orthodontic treatment...opinions/advice

Hi, I got my braces on about 2 1/2 months ago and I'm wondering if I should be concerned or asking my orthodontist questions or if I'm being paranoid for nothing. I went for my consultation at my ortho's office, and when I went they took pictures of my mouth and I sat down with my ortho and he expla...

i have one wisdom tooth on top and both on the bottom. I don't have brackets on the top but I do on the bottom. I think it depends on whether or not your teeth are aligned where they should be but I don't think it's uncommon to have brackets on your wisdom teeth if they are out of alignment...the on...

Hey there, I'm a 28 year old girl with ceramics and I'm in a relationship so I never really thought much about what the opposite sex thought, however I did feel sort of self conscious about being looked at like a teenager or being taken less seriously because I was in braces. A little while back I o...

I just got my bottoms on about a week ago and they hurt like hell!

The tops were a breeze, I was a little uncomfortable for a couple of days but it was nothing. I didn't use wax or anything. I was starting to think that this was going to be nothing but I think I spoke too soon LOL.

I have braces with three of my wisdom teeth still in place...I had the fourth removed because it had a cavity in it that was too close to the tooth beside it. My boyfriend had braces in high school, and they actually removed all of his 6's (the molars two away from your wisdom teeth) and closed in t...

Hi, new here...also problem with brackets falling off

Hi guys, I've been on this site a few times but just signed up today. I've had my top braces since June 4th and just got my bottoms on August 4th. So far i'm pretty ecstatic with the results...not as fast as i'd like, but patience is a virtue especially when it's something worth waiting for! I was w...
