I had surgery while on my antidepressants. Yes, be sure to tell the anesthesiologist. Your pre-op nurse/doctor will also need to know so they can crush them up and give them to you while you're recovering in the hospital.

Hi,

The pain I was asking about only lasted about 3-4 days. I asked my OS and he said it was the roots of the teeth healing after the trauma of having upper/lower advancement surgery.

Now my chin (from genio) just aches a bit.

Ya, I think it's the elastics pulling on my teeth along with some jaw pain from the surgery. I was getting paranoid that it was from not brushing my teeth while being banded shut.

Hi,

39 here and same situation. Dentist said I should get them because of tmj problems and was wearing down my bottom teeth pretty badly. Today is day 2 and no pain so far. Is taking a little while to get used to speaking. Good luck to you.
