I'm on 12/16 now. After 13, attachments come off. So I only had them for 12 trays. Also on 10 day trays since #6, and that makes it fly by.

Yes. I was on 14 days for the first 5 trays and during my last appointment, I asked "how about that 10-day plan you'd said you might put me on?" He said to go ahead and try it for this round of 5 aligners. So tonight I'm gonna put on the 3rd tray since going to 10 days. It'll save me about...

I'm like halfway through and no one has ever said anything. A buddy of mine said he noticed them one particular day, after the fact, when the topic came up.

I've never found a need to do anything but brush them. I always do it once a day, and usually twice. It gets rid of the coffee-ness which accrues way in the back. And even if the braces look a little hazy, I sure don't see a difference in my teeth when I put them on. Whatever cloudiness they may hav...

Just got 6 of 16 today and finagled a 10-day treatment instead of the usual 14. So if it goes as planned through the end on 10-day, I'll shave 44 days off the procedure. I suspect it'll be fine because I haven't had any problems outside of the first attachment set which was painful and hard as hell ...

What's the grossest place you've ever dropped your braces?

Front of the toilet on the floor. Home bathroom, not public. But the floor hadn't been "tended to" to my liking at the time I dropped the braces there. Just barely missed dropping them in the bowl on one occasion. Can't help the occasional accident as I have a shallow little bathroom cabin...

My biggest problem--left lateral incisor--seems to be moving the slowest. I think the ortho did it on purpose!

I ended up doing it a day early like I originally planned. Reason is because it turned out I was going to meet some new people on the Friday after Thanksgiving, and I really wanted to have the new set broken in before that. In that past when my mouth was all sore I just kind of kept to myself and As...

My first tray...teeth bothered me for several days. Not pain, but just general unease. Felt like my lower incisors were all packed together. Second tray (first with attachements), the soreness was far greater and the fit tighter, but my teeth adjusted to it in about 40 hours, including two nights of...

My next set goes on the night before Thanksgiving. I might push that up to Tuesday night though before bed. For me, day 1 is bad, day 2 gets 33% better, and day 3 you're in the clear. I'm gonna need to do a lot of removal and brushing on the holiday, so I don't want to have day 1 or day 2 soreness. ...

I switch on Thursday. Got my first set on a Thursday and my 2nd pair with attachments on a Thursday. I'm gonna do Wednesday night before bed. Once you've had a night in them they become considerably easier to deal with. And a happy hour on that first day helps a lot too.

My gf and sister said they look straighter already. Impossible after 17 days. It's an illusion brought on by the uniforming/veneering effect the braces have. My teeth felt odd and sharp at first when naked, but now it doesn't feel odd. I do somewhat prefer to have them in but only because the attach...

I'll be moving to a 10 day cycle at some point. Don't remember exactly but I think around the halfway point.

So 8 x 14 = 112, and 8 x 10 = 80. The 10 day cycle in the second half would take a month off the initial treatment.

Re: Getting Invisalign on Monday!!!

33 yr old male getting my first trays (top only) on monday. Im excited and nervous at the same time. The consensus from the forum seems to be that they take a while to get used to so hopefully i can take strength from other people on the forum. I have been told by the dentist that its 10 months to ...

It is pretty much easy to get them in and out now. The first day sucked, the second day was about 50% better and after that it became more or less the same as with no attachments. The difference is that they snap on and kind of snap off...you need to kind of rip them out instead of slip them out. So...
